What to expect:

We work with women at all stages of their reproductive health journey and beyond, from teenagers experiencing painful or irregular periods to menopausal women dealing with hotflashes, and everything in between.

When pursuing treatment for women’s health, we usually recommend clustering visits closer together initially (usually once per week), and then gradually lengthening the amount of time between sessions as your body starts to respond to the acupuncture. We look for improvements in intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms. Our end goal is to get you to a place where you don’t need to come in for treatment anymore, or we develop a maintenance plan that works for you.

Hormonal imbalances respond well to acupuncture, but they can take time to fully rectify in the body. For any menstrual-related problem, we recommend treatment for a minimum of 3 months to see a lasting change.

Treatments may consist of acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine recommendations, cupping and gua sha manual therapy, moxibustion, as well as nutrition/activity/lifestyle recommendations.

We will work with you at your first visit to solidify a treatment plan based on your women’s health experience and goals.
